About us:

The chair of theological anthropology in the Department of Theology at The Pontifical University of John Paul II in Cracow was created inside the dogmatic specialization of the department in April of 2005 and is devoted to study of theological anthropology.

Study:

The goal of the chair of theological anthropology is an extensive study of the Christian concept of person in the light of Christian theological heritage as well as from the point of view of modern challenges presented to Christian anthropology. Especially important for the work of the chair is the effort to analyze and present the thought of John Paul II as seen through the prism of his theological anthropology.

Current information:

Presently in the chair of theological anthropology are employed two scholars: Jaroslaw Kupczak (special areas of interest: philosophical and theological anthropology, theological hermeneutics, the thought of John Paul II) and Robert Woźniak (special areas of interest: patristic, medieval and modern trinitarian theology, modern dialog between theology and philosophy).
