With the term "radical ideology", the author has in mind primarily anti-Semitism, fascism, socialism and communism. He focuses on the attitudes towards them, as they were present by the leading ideological representatives of Slovenian political Catholicism at the end of the 19th century and in the first half of the 20th century (until the end of the Second World War): Anton Mahnič (1850–1920), Janez E. Krek (1865–1917) and Aleš Ušeničnik (1868–1952).
